I have to acky the rest of your Desh of 30 Dec: last po 81, reporting the proposals made to you by the Quicture of the Bank of Water Indien for the circulation of their Enter of Br and upwards within the Colony, and the arrangement which you had eventually combeded with them.

I regret to state that Athr Gort cannot sanction any arrangement which any encouragement should be given to the circulation of Bank notes of the value of $885 and upwards within the Colony, under the conditions on which Mr Davis would accede to those propositions.
